Dysphagia (Swallowing Difficulty)
There are many causes of swallowing difficulty, or a medical term - dysphagia. This includes Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, nose/mouth/throat cancer, etc.
Individuals with dysphagia often do not drink enough water or get enough calories through their meals. This is because most thickeners are lumpy and taste unappetizing. Same goes for most blended foods that are prepared at home. They are often diluted and contain little nutrition. Unfortunately, this tends to go unnoticed until the person loses a lot of weight or is hospitalised.
Over here, we have curated soft foods for dysphagia that are not only safe, but delicious. These products include high protein snacks, hydration jellies, tasty puree dishes, and the smoothest thickener we've ever come across - Toromi Smile.
